It was always frustrating to me that the book supplied the math for scale evaluation, then didn't give us complete scales to play with and learn something from. It likely wasn't done for a couple of reasons. One being that most folks prior to that publication (and probably to the present) just sent wrapped strings to someone for duplication, and never measured a thing. So the scale data compiled to that point didn't have any speaking lengths or wrapped string data. Another being that someone would mistakenly expect to be able to order a replacement string from information in the book, without measuring the piano. Still, it would have been, and still would be nice to have a source of scale data (speaking lengths, core, wrap) for the world's pianos, as an educational resource. Ron N
