Hi Julia, You've gotten a lot of good suggestions - I'll just add one more. The late Claire Davies of the Lexington chapter wrote a book on trigger point massage that helped me with a serious bout of golfer's elbow (on the outside of the joint, where tennis elbow is on the inside) which resulted from over-practice on the guitar. Along with icing and exercise of the forearm muscles, massaging the trigger points, which are basically knots in the muscle where blood flow gets cut off, has allowed me to get back to recording and performing with a fairly rigorous practice regimen. I highly recommend it. The trigger point therapy workbook: your self-treatment guide for pain relief By Clair Davies, David G. I've been getting massage therapy and it seems to help, but sometimes it just comes back even after 3 days of non-use. Anyone have suggestions for "tennis elbow" releif.
