Al If there are just a few, instead of trying to put pliers in between the levers, use a small screwdriver to scribe a line in the lead, sort of pushing the lead into the wood. But if there are just a few now, more will become loose later. So perhaps it would be better if you removed the whole under leaver, and take care of all of the levers.
