When I am parked in a questionable area or even a good area at night, and
my tool box is in the car, I unsnap it. If a thief reaches in and grabs it,
it will dump out either in the car or on the ground. What thief would
bother to pick up a bunch a small tools?
How effective this is will depend on what type of box or case you have.
