Me too. I never open anything up that I order at the home just in case . From: pianotech-bounces at ptg.org [mailto:pianotech-bounces at ptg.org] On Behalf Of Keith McGavern Sent: Thursday, September 03, 2009 2:04 PM To: pianotech at ptg.org Subject: [pianotech] pianotech] Recent parts order Greg, fwiw: I usually open all Damp-Chaser products upon receiving them to ensure everything is there. This prevents any surprises before entering the customer's premises. Sincerely, Keith Greetings listees, Im writing today to bring your attention to a potential problem. I recently ordered a Dampp-Chaser product from a Chicago based supplier (open list you know) and when I opened the box to install it, in front of the customer, I found a pick ticket. This pick ticket included at the bottom the price that I am paying for the product ordered. I considered this to be bad form on the part of the supplier since this is, potentially, in full view of my customer. I just got off the phone with them and their solution was to not put any more pick tickets in any of my orders. Not exactly what I had in mind since other stock orders shipped to my shop would require one so that I can see that I was not shorted any items. I dont ever remember other pick tickets including prices but perhaps Im just not observant enough. If this concerns anyone besides me perhaps youd be willing to give the supplier a call to voice your concerns. Perhaps a better solution can be reached.
