Go with Ronsen hammers. Talk with Ray about what felt he recommends. Lots of info on that in the archives.

Subject: [pianotech] Hammers for small vintage Baldwin Grands

I have two Baldwin grands in the shop for rebuilding. As to hammers, I'm looking for a somewhat mellow sound. Previously I've used Brooks Encore hammers by Abel, but they were too bright. Ideally the hammers should be similar in weight to the originals, and not need a lot of voicing. Any suggestions?
        Thanks,
        Denis Kelly
