I've been using plain old rubbing alcohol for years, works great, removes
nail polish from keytops too.
I bought a box of 100 alcohol wipes, the kind the wipe your arm with prior
to giving you an injection, I carry several in my tool bag and when I need
to remove marker, nail polish, etc. I drag one out and rub off the offending
mark.
They're also handy for a single alcohol/water treatment of a flange, you can
squeeze out a drop or 2 for the flange bushing.
