I know a mover--recently retired, darn it--who moved concert grands by himself, even up onto elevated stages.  Never a mishap that I am aware of.  Amazing guy.

Using only 3 guys to move a 9 foot grand seems rather arrogant to me. I, personally, don’t have those kinds of skills. I like 4 on anything 7 foot or over. But then I only move less than 50 pianos a year.

There is an actual story attached to the sequence.  It wasn't staged.  Happenedd in Great Britain if I recall correctly.  Something to the effect of an excited customer rep was there to pictorially monitor the delivery for a slide show at the benefit.  How convenient for the insurance adjuster...
