[pianotech] Cleaning Tuning Pins

Greetings, 
 
       I would try a rock tumbler and add sand. Years ago they had spark 
plug cleaning machines, which mechanics would insert the electrode end into a 
sleeve to which a chamber that had agitated/circulating sand in it. It 
amounted to sand blasting the spark plug;s electrode. I woudnt leave them in too 
long though, could subtract their diameter size.
I've never done this...Just an idea...
