Hello All. The whippen in the Mathushek " Spinet Grand ". is so named by the factory strictly for promotion purposes. It indeed has a Hertz - Erard ( double escapement) action built by " Thayer Action Co" of Chicago Ill. Hey Joe,, did I already say this once ??????? Not to add to the confusion but Mathushek also built two other smaller Squares before the "Spinet Grand". One was called the "Minum" the other was called the " Colibri " They both had the Capo-Bar (Not Agraffes) in the treble and had a single escapement action ( jack on key ) Regards, Jack Wyatt Dallas chapter -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
