I pinged a couple of friends of mine who are in to these sorts of things and one replied with this:
http://www.ambientweather.com/latx60uset.html

It's cheaper ($50) and would be wireless within the piano. The gateway device the wireless sensors connect to looks like a useful little weather station, which is nice.

Additional sensors can be installed nearby. It logs climate data to a web site for free (alerts cost extra) and you can export it to a spreadsheet from there.

This is for a college I work for. So far this looks like one that will work well: http://www.onsetcomp.com/products/data-loggers/u10-003#tabs-product_page_tabs-2
