[pianotech] Retirement & Social Security taxes

Matthew...   Except under very unusual circumstances, you must pay "some" Social Security.  The key word is "some".

Of course, one other way not to pay SS is to not pay it...   and that will ensure you won't pay any more for a long while... I'm pretty sure "inmates" are exempt!
