I have the same problem (aurally, though not visually) with the bichords in the low tenor of my Steinway Sheraton upright. Same solution is in order, and it's not particularly expensive--four pairs of new strings. I wonder of the piano in the photos had a technician install a properly wound set of strings in the wrong order?
