Donn, Go to Letraset.com. They have transfer letters you can apply to the plate, etc., then lacquer over the transfer. Number font used for serial numbers on older Kimball and/or Conover-Cable pianos (it must be a Chicago thing ) and the like, where the numbers are quite bold and the arm/leg terminates in a ball-shape, such as on the top left arm of a "2" or the top left arm and bottom left leg of a "3". Some times the serial number will be stamped into a thin metal sheet which shows through an opening in the plate. 2. Letter font for fallboard logos as used on many older instruments such as Chickering, J. & C. Fischer, Haines Bros. and many others. They're not quite Old English and each initial and first letter of each word in the name is an ornate capital letter. They are quite calligraphic. I KNOW that decals are available - I don't want decals. I want the name of the fonts used to create the letters and numbers. Thanks.
