Hi William,
The temprature in Hawaii stays the same year round doesn't it? Does Hawaii look like winter in terms of the suns position? does it get darker earlier, and since the sun is further away, does it feel different at 85 in December than in July. I cannot recall how close you are to the equator. That will make a difference. Merry Christmas!

>From about April to October, the temperature is generallly in the upper 80's, sometime getting up to 91 or 92. The locals call that "hot". From mid November to March, the temerature is generally in the upper 70's and low 80's. Sometime at night, in the middle of Oahu, which is at about 1000 feet above sea leel, the temerature can get into the upper 50's. It actually feels "cold".

What keeps the weather nice most of the year are the constant trade winds, at about 10 - 20 mph, coming out of the east. But ocasionally, the wind will shift, and come out of the south, which brings very humid air, and lots of rain, like we'vee been having the last couple of weeks.

We are between the Equator and the Tropic of Cancer. In June, our shadows are cast south. During the sumer, it gets dark about about 7:30 PM, and the sun rises about 5:30. But during the winter, the sun sets at about 6, and rise at about 6. And it happens very quickly. At 5:45 it's still totally light, and in 15 minutes, it will be completely dark.
