I don't think so. The knuckles were flat, and long enough to span both 
the jack top and the repetition. Bill Monroe posted some photos on 
1/25/2010. There are at least two types of knuckles that I've heard 
called "Thayer". One is like those pictured in Bill's post, and the 
other had a knuckle that was pointed on one end, and tapered on the 
other. This one was used with a more typical wippen. APSCO used to sell 
them.
