The very first measures are of course A4 and A3. Then I measure all other A´s and E´s. Sometimes I measure more bass string notes, depends on the piano. When I decide to do a one pass tuning and it´s a good piano I measure all single bass string notes (i.e. not the bichords, I mean the "singlechords"). Usually I am satisfied with the VT result, but not always with the bass strings. There I touch up auraly. I tune unisons as I go. After measuring some notes I start with A0 and go up to C8.
