Craig All the answers to this are probably a matter of some opinion but wippen frictions can be 2 to 4 grams and is fairly usual. Repetition lever flanges benefit from being a bit higher. 4 to 6.grams. This way the spring tension can be adjusted a bit higher up. If it's too low even if hammer rise on release looks good it can be inadequate on some pianos. The jacks can fail to repeat if too low. You may even want more than 6 depending on the situation. This refers to wippens with butterfly springs. Not sure about the two spring arrangement such as some old aeolian parts.
