[pianotech] Ethics of prop sticks.

What I want to know is:  Has anyone ever been booted out of the Guild for
violating the ethics of prop sticks?  Just the thought of it makes me feel
dirty.

 

But I suppose if you are wacked out on Ovaltine, which Ron apparently is,
anything is possible.  J

Similar to us at UNL.  The flutists like a 2x4 about 3" wrapped in black
duct-tape.  they keep disappearing which is a mystery...

At UTM we use a 3 1/2" square block of wood covered in felt.  Our vocal
majors like to use it.  Works well for us.

I've seen various prop designs like this. The Knabe I 
mentioned, for instance. I think it's a good idea. Mechanical 
stops always work better than education, and are usually 
harder (but not impossible) to bypass.
