I servied a Schimmel Grand a while back that had pins extremely close together at the bass/tenor break on the tenor side. I had to replace several strings there, and couldn't get my coil lifter in there. My slender screwdriver was a lifesaver (Schaff #3273). Don't forget to protect the stretcher!
