Ok, I would inform her of the minimal effect that the pan will give.
I would also bring up the point, that too dry, is bad for her health,  
and she should consider a humidifier.
All steps in the right direction. Main point being, that her piano  
will not stay in tune during the seasonal changes, and
she should get it away from the stove.
By the way, no one has ever suggested to me that the pan of water on  
the stove, was supposed to fix it and didn't.
They always appreciated any suggestions I had.
You must always fully inform the customer of what you think will happen.
Then again, I was forgetting how litigeous you Guys are down  
there. :-) (Is that the right word?)
