I forgot to add that the bench in question does not have any metal corner

Hi,William !

I normally, re-glue joints BEFORE installing Corner Brackets,Leg Hanger
Bolts and Flat+Lock Washers and a Hex Nut...It works... In the past I had
ordered Bench Brackets from Kimball through late Roger Weisensteiner by
thousand... They worked great and easy to adopt to most benches..

Or, disassemble the bench, clean the joints and glue together again - viola
- tight wooden joints. ;-] Costs more to be sure, but avoids the hardware.

Hi,Brian!

Vinegar will work temporarily in piano Bench...It works great on loose
Hammer and Hammer Butt,Catcher joints..For loose bench corners I will
reccomend installing Corner Brackets..Kimball made the best
ones.Unfortunately,they are no longer available...Woodcraft sell o'k
Brackets...Good luck isaac

Hello,

Is there a trick, or helpful hint, on getting wooden joints, like in an old
bench , to become tight again. Was something mentioned about white vinegar
on the joints?

Thank you,
