[pianotech] tuning forks

    I imagine tuning forks date back to the "early days of 
harpsichords and pipe organs."  I seem to remember reading about 
a tuning fork Mozart owned, and I wouldn't be surprised if the 
ancient Greeks or Egyptians had them
