Good Golly Greg, have you requested a price for a 20 mil bag of the size you want? I don't remember exactly what I paid for my big bag, but it was only a couple/few hundred bucks. If you are not doing production work where the bag is being used every day, you don't need a 30 mil bag - 20 will suffice quite nicely. And I don't know what kind of pump you are looking at, but I have....... oh gosh, it's late and I really don't want to spend the time to look for it - a small - really, quite small vacuum pump that works great for all my applications - even doing the laminated panel I built in my big bag - I think it might have cost me $250 or so. No more than that. I don't know what the heck you're looking at for $1,300, but I suspect it is something of industrial/high-production quality. If you are doing just one once in a while, you most likely don't need that level.
