Instead of string, I use a long wire tie wrapped around chord end and secure
with a couple of screws.

I wonder who has figured out a way to make DC systems less defeatable. 
Tom Gorley mentioned in a chapter meeting wrapping the cord near the 
plug with twine and tying same securely to the outlet cover, so that 
someone would have to go to some trouble to unplug the DC cord. Any 
other thoughts on this?
