To plug the old holes when relocating capstans, I make 1/4" plugs cut from old keys. I used to wipe the excess glue off and trim the protruding plug with a chisel and then sand the area with a palm sander. I use PVC-E glue so as mot to make a hard glue line to cause the drill bit to drift. Today I had the idea to utilize my oscillating spindle sander. I didn't wipe the glue collar or trim the plug. The sander made quick work of trimming and cleaning the surface, only removing less than .5 mm. Also notice the cove on the front of the back check block to accommodate the wippen assist spring. -- Regards, Jon Page -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed...
