After cleaning it, you should use a lubricant where the pedal pivots.

Howdy,

I'm rebuilding this lyre and was wondering if one just cleans this type of assembly or should a lubricant, like Protek MPL-1, be used after cleaning? There only seems to be rust there right now.

Since I'm mostly a service tech, I usually just deal with squeaky pedals...I'd like to keep this one from making noise in the first place, if possible.

Thanks,
