If I run into that, I just put a little dab of Protek CLP in it and let it
set for a bit. Usually works pretty good.

Subject: [pianotech] too tight repetition spring screws

I've been working on a 70's model BB Mason & Hamlin for a school, nearly
finished when I start trying to adjust the spring tension of the repetition
lever. Everyone is stiff, nearly half are so stiff as to be unadjustable,
to the point of stripping out the head of the screw. I've tried multiple
flathead screw sizes and nothing seems to work. Is there a lubricant anyone
would recommend? Other suggestions?
