[pianotech] Tax Question

Not too far from the truth. Recently passed legislation means we'll have to
file 1099's for every entity we do business with now. Previously that
excluded corporations. Spend more than $600/year with Schaff? You'll have to
file 1099 now. Not to mention that they can monitor every bank transaction
if they wish. It's to keep us safe, of course.

Wim,

You make it sound like the IRS has spy cams installed in our homes watching
our every move!

By watching instructional DVD's :-)

If the only thing you use the TV for is to watch those tapes, then, yes, the
TV can be taken off as a "tool". But if you use it to watch a ball game, or
your favorite soap, then you can only deduct that percentage of time you
watch the DVD. Kind of like your car. I figure that 80% of my time I drive
my car is for business purposes. The other 20% is for personal use.

Are we able to deduct TV purchases? As long, of course, I use it solely for
purposes related to our field?
