(1 1/2" No 8 into the rim). Brass screws are fine until they break. Bluing screws is quick and easy. Polish up the head with P240 > P320 > P800 paper, turning the screw in a drill chuck. Then turn the head of the screw in the flame of a spirit lamp until it turns dark blue. JD
