In summation, ......... With regards to a standard handled screwdriver, additional torque can be delivered by adding player piano hose over the handle, snug enough so that it doesn’t slip. It’s a better feel to the hand as well. OK so on the subject of hands, mine are starting to give me some back talk and so I also had a two foot square shanked screwdriver from Snap On. They don’t make it anymore and I’ve broken the tip and reground it many times plus I think I’m on the third handle for it. The square shank was a great way to provide more turning torque, turning the wrench while I pressed down on it with my chin in my hand wrapped around the handle. The last time I used it the handle submitted and my hands were sore. I was tempted to weld a piece of iron onto the end of it turning it into a T handle but I tried the tuning lever tip adaptor type screwdriver blade and my hands are thanking me. I like a good stout screwdriver in a tall glass on a hot day. Add a little grenadine and some other things and pretty soon my hands don’t hurt anymore.
