That is not the serial number.  The serial number is stencilled in 
placck paint onto the plate.  It's probably been painted over.  It's 
almost certainly a pre-IV, about 1895.  If you look on the side of 
the key for bottom A you may find a date with the workman's name, but 
I doubt it.
