Hello Rob. This piano is a " Melodigrand " 64 note build by the Winter Co. at 2718 Pershing Ave, in Memphis Tenn. Down thru time they named it many things. One was " Melodipro". It has19 bass wraped wires all single 6 wraped bi-cords in center section the rest slick bi-cords. Before there was a " Hepinstal l" we would install three Bass fiddle contact mikes for the traveling bands and a-way they would go. They would plug into a Bass Amp. It was the best "64" on the market. Then or now. A poor second is the " Pinafore " by Gulbransen. Hope this helps, Jack Wyatt In a message dated 4/22/2011 11:27:29 P.M. I had never seen one of these things before although I heard rumors of such an animal. It is literally an acoustic piano for road gigs that folds up into it's own case. Awkward to say the least, terrible to say the most. With 5-1/2 octaves it has a spinet action with a very bizarre arrangement for the keyboard to fold up. There are only single strings in the bass and two in the treble. The scaling was horrible, there was no way to get a clean temperament out of it. Every string had it's own wild false beat. This was an "emergency" call for a band that was playing at a local club. I don't think it sounded much better when I left but at least it was at 440. The scary part of this is that apparently the company also made a fold-up portable grand too.
