Judging by the reports I've gotten from people caring for my belly jobs 
out there in the world, the epoxy laminated bridge cap on a Sitka board 
is way more tuning stable than a solid maple cap. So in an RC&S assembly 
with a laminated bridge cap, the panel reactivity doesn't seem to be all 
that much of a factor.

Stiffness to weight, in my case, but there's nothing sacred about Sitka. 
I'd still like to make a soundboard out of one of those old mahogany 
plywood Yamaha crates and see what I got.
