The fact that the bridge and bevel edge of the notch don't exactly meet is not that big a deal as long as the bevel edge is behind the pin and not so far behind that there is too much unsupported pin below the string contact point. That's not atypical and it is often done on purpose since over time the string will imbed slightly in the bridge cap and the bevel contact point can move out beyond the pin which is a problem. To that effect from the picture that Keith posted (and it's hard to tell from the photo) it appears that with the unison on the left (as viewed from the photograph) the bevel is suspiciously close (if not beyond) the bridge pin center. It might be worth a look to see if the bevel contact point on that string might not have migrated beyond the pin. That might be the source of some falseness.
