Good job! My best trade for an M&H A was a used Colson grand truck for Yamaha
GH1. No comment. The school was thrilled.

Patrick and list,
Thank you for your response(s). I traded a Baldwin Hamilton for it. I deliver it
and pick up the M&H tomorrow morning. Thanks all!

I asked a friend who does boards etc. the same question last week. He said he
paid $2500 for one a couple years ago, but that was before the overall slump in
the economy had sunk in. He figures he can only get about $24K for it after
remanufacturing the whole thing (and a long wait for the right buyer); the same
amount of work on a Steinway would sell at a higher price, and much, much more
readily. He would pay less if he were considering picking up a M&H for spec
rebuilding now.

How much would you pay for a completely unrestored Mason & Hamlin A that
needs everything (complete action rebuild, new board and bridges et. All,
and a new block, with complete refinish)?
Thanks in advance!
