The one's I've worked on all had extra bracing.

  I played a Yamaha C7 that was at a conference (quite a few years ago) that was retrofitted with these keys. It was amazing! My hands felt HUGE! Surprisingly, it wasn't as difficult to adapt to it as you might think.

    Originally, they did. I thought maybe they went to the laminations to avoid that extra bracing. Tom?
