Great strategies, John, in your previous post on pricing. And kudos for being willing to help those who need it. I notice a fair amount of suggestions to increase used piano sales/brokering. I notice that this year my own sales/brokering have increased. I make use of the free Craigslist Reader Pro software that allows one to do some pretty nice custom searches across the CraigList sites. Just this past month I was able to locate 2 very nice deals that were tailor made for my customers' needs. As more piano stores close (there is only one left in Terre Haute now) so will the need for our locating services to find the right piano for our customers. This is especially true for those in smaller markets. This CraigsList tool is a valuable asset to help with that. My goal is to have it grow 15% this year. Strategies: 1. Raise rates 2. Create a website (almost done!) 3. Sell more pianos! 4. Learn more, increase my skill set. (Go to the CONVENTION, y'all!) Cheers! John Dorr, RPT Helena, MT
