[pianotech] What is the name of this string making technique?

Need to order a replacement string for this old European upright piano, and
need to know what it's called so I can tell Mapes.

I'm drawing a blank. Is it called schraging?

I know I've seen this in one of my books somewhere, but don't want to go
searching through piles of them when someone on Pianotech will know right
away. :-)

Sorry for the poor quality. All I had was my iPhone, and the lighting wasn't
that great.

Thanks in advance.
