I also bought the even more expensive refit guide rollers for the Shopsmith bandsaw (sealed ball bearings, taking the place of the "soft blocks.") Then I went to the Shopsmith site and bought myself two new bandsaw blades -- 1/2" and 5/8" variable. My old one which I've used since 1992 has truly had it. Stupid not to have replaced it sooner. Maybe I can make knives from it, or something. There are times when the table saw (of the Shopsmith) would do better straighter cuts for thin material, but I'm scared to use it. This looks like it might help. And it's way past time for me to clean up and recalibrate the bandsaw. It was so great when I first set it up with the fence and the 5/8 resaw blade (back when it was sharp). It could saw wood 1/8" almost like veneer, and the result was so smooth it barely needed sanding. Susan
