Les,
Thanks for the tip and the complement. As for the website, it's 3 years old and seriously needs updating. But, it's functioning and like most things, it will get revamped when I get a round tuit. :-) Thanks again.

Subject: [pianotech] Replacing action bracket bolt
Barb,
Make sure the action bolt is at the correct height BEFORE tweaking it to mate to
the action bracket, otherwise if you rotate after the fact, you will be either
raising or lowering the action bracket. If you have a long sstraight edge, you
could lay it across the remaining ones to help determine the height.
btw, I like your web site, especially the state map with highlighted counties
you service...nice touch.

Tom C, Tom D and William,
Thank you for the help and I liked Isaac's tip about the VJ lube and pipe
nipple.? I think I will try to rethread the original bolt first though, just
for practice sake.? Thanks for the idea.? If it works, great, the repair is
fixed!? If I mess it up worse, then plan B, I can still replace the bolt.? It
feels good to have a back up...and an excuse to go shopping! Lol.
Thanks again!
