A customer has a Lester spinet from the late 1950's or early 60's. She had complained about keys staying down, so I suspected broken elbows. When I got under the piano I was surprised to see that the broken elbows were snap-on replacement ones, yellowed in color. The breaking point was around the snap-in slot. I replaced 7 with the clear snap-ons. Anyone else seen the replacement ones breaking?
