If they are working themselves loose, try putting a lock washer in.  That
will help.  I prefer the wing nuts myself.

I'm not sure why I would want to routinely swap out wing nuts for square
nuts.  Both can be snugged up as tightly as necessary, especially if I reach
for the vise grips.  And if something works loose, the customer can make a
provisional fix instantly, rather than running for a tool.  What am I
missing?
