A really interesting discussion.  Anybody have an opinion on that damper
problem with the Yamaha C1 that I posted awhile ago.

Was a member. Ok, then your are now not an Associate member, nor a 
member at all. That's the answer to one of my questions. the rest of the 
post is off in another direction entirely. I'll try for another answer.

Since you used the example of the 6 hour symphony tuner as a springboard 
to your never ending crusade against RPTs, I asked if that tuner was an 
RPT. I also wonder how long it had been since the last tuning.

See, what I'm hoping for is some sort of rational connection between the 
rant and the circumstance, rather than just more rant.

Trying to talk to you is a lot like running an old Windows application, 
looking at the screen and wondering what it's doing.
