Gosh, when I make an appointment with someone, *I* ask them if they would like a reminder call...(I make a notation on my calendar. ) Sometimes the person says yes, other times he or she will say there is no need--it's written on the calendar. Can't remember the last time I had a no-show, though occasionally a reschedule has taken place. I'd rather find out the day/night before than when I'm standing on their porch. How many customers in the mainland honestly ask that anyway? Remember, Wim, you are a Stranger in a Strange Land. You will never become a native where you are. Just not going to happen.
