It is that range of notes where the operatic Tenor sings just before he
kills the heroine.

:-)

In reality, I think people do not have an exact range of notes for every
piano.  I see this as a generic term for that area of the treble scale where
many pianos lack solid tone and good sustain due to soundboard / strike
point / bridge scaling issues.
