[pianotech] Really, really irritated with the New forum system

Here's my petiton comment:

Comments: This great organization deserves far better group communication software than the "Higher Logic" software that has been foisted upon us with little or no consultation. This software that the current PTG leadership has chosen for us is shockingly poor and totally inadequate for our purposes. 

Other than the fellowship with my local chapter, the greatest benefit that I personally receive from the Guild is information exchange that is the pianotech list. In essence, the pianotech list and the CAUT list are each a vast virtual chapter of the Guild, and I would submit, they are the most creative, dynamic, interactive, and future-oriented parts of the Guild. 

Since the "Higher Logic" software's inadequacy is GREATLY HARMING our valued pianotech and CAUT communities, I petition the leadership of the Guild to keep the current email listserv software running until a better software solution that meets the needs of the membership is chosen, tested, and accepted by the community. 

Failure to do so, will, in my opinion, constitute a failure of leadership.
