Thanks to all for info on the epoxy.  Now to prepare my victim!  I  
spoke with Tom? at West System who mentioned that heating the material  
to be bonded (he cited a soundboard in his example) before applying   
the epoxy will allow it to penetrate. Wait a few minutes and apply the  
epoxy as the material is cooling.
