I have a different take on those small requests, I just give it to them the first time. I look at it as being good PR. You might even get a referal out of it. As far as what size they need, get them to give you the mic'd size. (Is mic'd even a word?) John Ross Windsor, Nova Scotia. I used to get requests for wire used in cheese slicers or piano wire for the removal of car windshields. You have to meet them ( if they show ) and you have better things to do. > JMO > Tom D. > > I'll send you a link off list to one of these places (who by the way charge more than our usual supply house friends for the same stuff) > ----- Original Message ----- > From: Marshall Gisondi > To: pianotech at ptg.org > Sent: Saturday, December 22, 2012 9:01 PM > Subject: [pianotech] interesting request > > Hi Everyone, > I received an interesting e-mail today. To me it's a strange request. This person wants to know if I have any piano wired that she can use to make jewelry, a pin to be exact. Is this a prank or is piano wire used for jewelry? If it is, I can sell her a batch. What gauge would she need if in fact this is something I have. I'd give it to her I guess, but this stuff wil cost me if I have to buy a particular gauge again. What would I sell it for if I did sel lher some? /Thanks > Marshall > 215-510-9400 > http://www.phillytuner.com -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
