My dad had either bifocals or trifocals made up so he could read sheet
music more conveniently. It has been years ago (and he's now deceased so I
can't ask him), but I think he had them put the near range on the top. And
it was difficult to find an optician who would make them that way.

The Sanderson Accu-Fork should work for your needs. Depending on your tool
case, you might have to find a small plastic box into which the SAF could
go. I carry all my tuning stuff in a laptop portfolio thing. The SAF goes
in an outside pocket. Sometimes things press the buttons, but I always hear
it and turn it off. It also has an auto shut-off.
